Upper Secondary
Mathematics Coaching
Our Upper Secondary Mathematics programme covers E Math and Additional Mathematics for Sec 3–4 students, across both the G3 (Express) and G2 (Normal Academic) tracks — aligned with the latest MOE syllabuses.
Our programme follows closely with the latest MOE syllabus. All content on this page is drawn from the G2 and G3 Mathematics Syllabuses (2020) and G2 and G3 Additional Mathematics Syllabuses (2020) published by MOE Singapore.
Select Your Child's Subject and Level
Secondary Mathematics covers two subjects — E Math (all levels) and A Math (Upper Secondary only). Select your child’s subject, track, and level group to explore the MOE syllabus and how we help.
This page covers Upper Secondary (Sec 3–4) Mathematics. For Sec 1–2 content, visit the Lower Secondary Mathematics page.

G3 Express
Sec 3 – Sec 4
G3 Mathematics is assessed at O-Level (Code 4052). Paper 1 (2h 15min, 90 marks): ~26 short-answer questions. Paper 2 (2h 15min, 90 marks): 9–10 structured questions, including a real-world application question. Each paper carries 50% of the total marks.
How Aspire Hub Helps
01
Mastering the Full Syllabus Systematically
The Upper Secondary G3 syllabus is broad. Our coaches map out a structured revision plan that covers every topic, prioritising high-weightage areas and ensuring no topic is left unaddressed before the O-Level examinations.
02
Circle Theorems & Trigonometry Clinic
These are consistently the most challenging topics for students. We use targeted drilling, visual aids, and worked examples to build both understanding and speed — ensuring students can apply these concepts confidently under exam conditions.
03
Vectors and Coordinate Geometry
Abstract topics like vectors require a different kind of thinking. Our coaches break these down into logical, step-by-step frameworks that make the abstract concrete and manageable.
04
O-Level Exam Strategy
We simulate O-Level conditions with timed papers, detailed marking, and targeted feedback. Students learn exactly how to allocate time, structure working, and maximise marks across both papers.

G2 Normal Academic
Sec 3 – Sec 4
G2 Mathematics is assessed at N(A)-Level (Code 4045). Paper 1 (2h, 70 marks): ~23 short-answer questions. Paper 2 (2h, 70 marks): Section A — 9–10 structured questions including a real-world application; Section B — 2 questions (answer 1), one from Geometry & Measurement and one from Statistics & Probability. Each paper carries 50% of the total marks.
How Aspire Hub Helps
01
Systematic Syllabus Coverage
We map out a comprehensive revision plan for the full G2 syllabus, ensuring every topic is covered and no area is left to chance before the N(A)-Level examinations.
02
Circle Theorems & Trigonometry
These topics are challenging for G2 students. Our coaches use targeted drilling and visual frameworks to build both understanding and exam-ready speed.
03
N(A)-Level Section B Strategy
The Section B choice question is a unique feature of the N(A)-Level paper. We help students identify their stronger topic (Geometry or Statistics) and develop a clear strategy for maximising marks in this section.
04
Building Exam Confidence
We simulate N(A)-Level conditions with timed practice papers and detailed feedback, so students walk into the examination hall feeling prepared, focused, and confident.

Additional Mathematics
G3 Express
Sec 3 – Sec 4
G3 Additional Mathematics (A Math) is an elective subject taken by mathematically inclined Express students at Upper Secondary. It bridges the gap between O-Level Mathematics and H2 Mathematics at JC, covering advanced algebra, trigonometry, coordinate geometry, and calculus. A Math is highly recommended for students intending to pursue science, engineering, or mathematics-related courses at A-Level and beyond. Aspire Hub’s A Math coaching is rigorous, structured, and designed to build both deep understanding and exam-ready confidence.
G3 Additional Mathematics is assessed at O-Level (Code 4049). Paper 1 (2h, 80 marks): answer all questions. Paper 2 (2h 30min, 100 marks): answer all questions. Both papers test the full range of Algebra, Geometry & Trigonometry, and Calculus topics.
How Aspire Hub Helps
01
Building the A Math Mindset
A Math requires a qualitatively different level of mathematical thinking — abstract, rigorous, and multi-step. Our coaches help students make this mental shift early, so they approach A Math with the right framework and attitude.
02
Calculus from First Principles
Calculus is the most conceptually demanding part of A Math. We build understanding from first principles — derivatives as gradients, integration as area — before moving to techniques and applications. This ensures students understand what they are doing, not just how.
03
Trigonometry Mastery
Trigonometric identities, compound/double angle formulae, and the R-formula are areas where many students lose marks. We drill these systematically, building both accuracy and speed through structured practice.
04
Bridging to JC H2 Math
For students intending to take H2 Mathematics at JC, a strong A Math foundation is essential. Our coaching is designed with this continuity in mind — building the skills and habits that will serve students well at the next level.

Additional Mathematics
G2 Normal Academic
Sec 3 – Sec 4
G2 Additional Mathematics is available to Normal Academic students who demonstrate strong mathematical ability. It covers the same three strands as G3 A Math — Algebra, Geometry & Trigonometry, and Calculus — but with a slightly narrower scope (e.g., excluding Binomial Theorem and Exponential/Logarithmic Functions in the core syllabus). It is assessed at N(A)-Level and provides a strong foundation for students who wish to pursue further mathematics studies. Aspire Hub’s coaching supports G2 A Math students with the same rigour and depth as G3, tailored to the N(A)-Level examination format.
01
Rigorous Coaching for Mathematically Able NA Students
G2 A Math is a significant undertaking for Normal Academic students. Our coaches provide the rigour and depth needed to succeed, while remaining sensitive to the additional demands placed on students taking this elective.
02
Calculus with Clarity
Calculus is new and abstract for most students. We build understanding systematically — from the concept of a derivative to its applications — ensuring students are not just memorising procedures but genuinely understanding the mathematics.
03
Trigonometric Identity Drills
Trigonometric identities and proofs are high-value, high-difficulty topics. We use structured drilling and worked examples to build both accuracy and confidence in this area.
04
Pathway Planning
For G2 A Math students with strong performance, we advise on pathways including Sec 5 G3 A Math content and post-secondary options. Our coaches help students understand how their A Math results open doors.
Whether your child is just starting out at Sec 1 or preparing for O-Level and N(A)-Level examinations, our coaches are ready to provide the structure, clarity, and rigour they need to succeed.
